Un design che ritorna alle sinuose linee

Eliminazione degli angoli, bordi arrotondati, profili sinuosi: non una semplice alternativa al minimalismo ma un trend affermato e riconosciuto.

Non solo una forma di reazione al minimalismo imperante o un bisogno di creare nella cucina un “nido” dove essere coccolati, ma uno stile riconoscibile con una sua identità: la ricomparsa delle forme arrotondate è espressa ampiamente da una produzione che si allontana da quelle rigide, spigolose ed essenziali della tendenza lineare di questi ultimi anni.
L’introduzione di materiali compositi (la cui caratteristica di termoformabilità permette di ottenere curvature con raggio fino a 50 cm), nuove sperimentazioni sulle prestazioni (estetiche e funzionali) dei materiali, le capacità e le conoscenze tecniche degli “addetti ai lavori”, hanno contribuito a creare, anche in un ambiente tradizionalista come la cucina, forme e composizioni innovative per questo luogo. Questo ritorno alle curve è in maniera esplicita rappresentato dalla produzione di molte fra le più grandi aziende che lo applicano, indipendentemente dalle dimensioni, ad isole, tavoli,
piani cottura in vetroceramica e non, lavelli, rubinetteria, ante pensili e cappe.

More than just a reaction to the prevailing minimalism or the need to create a ‘nest’ inside the kitchen in which to feel at home, the comeback of rounded forms is a confirmed style with an identity of its own. It is fully expressed by a production that is a far cry from the rigid, angular and basic shapes of linear designs of recent years. The introduction of composite materials that can be bent to a radius of 50 cm (by means of a process in which heat is used), new tests (aesthetic and functional) on the performance of materials, together with the skill and know-how of those working in the sector, have helped create, even in a traditional area such as the kitchen, innovative forms and compositions.
This return to curves is explicitly represented by manufacturing companies, regardless of the size and type of kitchen; the materials are used for islands, tables, worktops, glass ceramic, sinks, taps, cabinets, cooker hoods, and more.
