Lo stadio Meazza è in simbiosi con il Duomo di Milano, come è noto la "Fabbrica del Duomo" è sempre al lavoro,
altrettanto si potrebbe dire della "Fabbrica dello Stadio". Dopo il grande intervento dei mondiali del ‘90 ha preso l’avvio un nuovo ciclo di opere che solo adesso ha raggiunto una visione matura di progettazione. Si pensa allo Stadio moderno, di livello europeo, sia per la sicurezza che per il comfort. E così ha preso l’avvio un complesso di opere che per ora sono solo l’inizio della grande trasformazione. Milano è orgogliosa della bellezza insita nella struttura del suo Stadio, per la verticalità, per la vicinanza degli spettatori al campo di gioco. E’ vero che non è facile la ristrutturazione, ma può essere importante riuscire. Palpitiamo dunque con tutti coloro che operano per la vita dello Stadio e in particolare con gli architetti che ne progettano la trasformazione. Sono certo che avremo il miglior risultato.

Meazza stadium lives in total harmony with Milan Cathedral; speaking metaphorically, the proverbial “Fabbrica del Duomo” is an eternal work in progress, hence we could say the same about the stadium using the identical expression “Fabbrica dello Stadio” . After the great intervention in expectation of the World Football Championship in 1990, a new cycle of works has begun, and it has only now reached a mature planning vision. You can think of the modern stadium, by European standards thanks to security and comfort. Thus, a series of works, being for now just
the beginning of a great transformation, got off to a start. Milan is proud of the beauty that is inherent in the stadium’s structure, because of its verticality and because spectators are very close to the pitch. It is true that the renovation is not easy, but it can be important to succeed in it. We quiver together with everyone who works for
stadium’s life and in particular with architects who are planning the transformation of it. I am sure that we will have the best result.
