UN LUOGO DI BENESSERE IN UN APPARTAMENTO MANSARDATO

Saper sfruttare al meglio gli spazi è molto importante, soprattutto per quegli ambienti “dimenticati”.
È il caso di questo sottotetto che si è trasformato in accessoriata sala da bagno con sauna

L’intervento in questa casa, sulle colline moreniche del Mantovano, è opera di due interior designer, che non si sono preoccupati solo di dare una nuova veste a dei locali esistenti, con un nuovo assetto distributivo, ma all’interno del loro percorso progettuale, hanno utilizzato materiali e oggetti pensati e creati all’interno del loro atelierstudio,
una sorta di officina di architettura dove Giuseppe Bignotti e Lorenza Moratello sperimentano nuovi materiali, creando oggettistica, mosaici o pietre dalle lavorazioni particolari, tutti rigorosamente prodotti artigianalmente. L’abitazione è dislocata su due livelli, uno di questi è il sottotetto (in cui è collocata la zona notte) che viene accorpato al livello
inferiore preesistente tramite la costruzione di una scala di collegamento. La stanze da bagno di conseguenza
sono due, entrambe sapientemente progettate.
Il bagno della zona giorno è molto ampio e dotato sia di doccia che di vasca, entrambi su disegno dei progettisti; le due finestre incorniciano la zona lavabo, inondando il locale di luce. Per il rivestimento sia delle pareti che del pavimento, si è adoperata una pietra lavorata e prodotta artigianalmente dagli stessi interior designer. La zona sottotetto si può definire come un luogo di rifugio e relax, non solo per la collocazione delle camere da letto ma per la
progettazione di un’accogliente e lussuosa “salle de bains” dotata di ogni comfort. Accanto ad una vasca idromassaggio e ad una cabina doccia molto ampia vi è infatti una zona sauna realizzata su disegno dai progettisti. L’arredamento di entrambi i bagni è ridotto all’essenziale per dare maggiore risalto alla progettazione architettonica degli spazi.

The renovation of this house on the morainic hills around Mantua is the work of interior designers Giuseppe Bignotti and Lorenza Moratello. Not only have they given a new look and layout to the existing rooms, but they have also used materials and objects conceived and created inside their atelier/studio, a sort of architecture workshop for experimenting with new materials, where they handcraft objects, mosaics, and precious stones. The home is on two levels, one of which is the attic (with sleeping area) that has been joined to the pre-existing level below by means of a connecting staircase. As a result there are two bathrooms, both expertly fashioned.
The bathroom in the living area is very spacious and contains a shower and bathtub, both designed by the architects;
the two windows frame the washbasin area, flooding the room with light. For the facing of both walls and floor, stone
worked by hand has been used, produced by the same interior designers. The attic is a sort of refuge-cum-relaxation
area, not only because of the bedrooms here but also because of the welcoming, luxurious, and fully-equipped ‘salle de bain’. Next to a whirlpool bath and shower cubicle there is a spacious sauna area designed by the architects. Furniture in both bathrooms has been reduced to a minimum to give greater prominence to the spatial arrangement.
